'Beetlejuice' actor Glenn Shadix dies in Alabama

Bessemer native Glenn Shadix, a Hollywood character actor best known for his role as Otho the interior decorator in Tim Burton's "Beetlejuice," died this morning following a fall at his Birmingham condo, a family member said today.Mr. Shadix, who appeared in more than 70 films and TV shows, was 58."He was having mobility problems, and he was in a wheelchair," Susan Gagne, Shadix's sister, said. "It looks like he fell and hit his head in the kitchen, and that's the cause of death."
